A little about
Corfu
Visited the island first in may month, where the island was spring-dressed
- not swim-weather - but fine weather to see the island and walk
around in Corfu city, where there are many things to see - also
affairs.
With car in 3 days You nearly can make the island.
Be attentive on, that the holiday-resorts among other things Benitses and
Dassia not have so many taverns open this time of the season.
Express Rejser, we were lucky) Hotel in
Benitses, small holiday-resorts - a
place/spot where there certainly is "very animated/cheerfully" in the
summertime.
Good bus connection to Corfu city.
Tavern Stefanos on the outskirts of Benitses is a very well dinning place.
Notice, that the food
on this island are more spicy than You know from other places in Greece -
but it taste very very good!

Last summer in august we wanted to surprise our English friends, we knew
they was at Corfu in Boukari, and asking "closer" we found out
they had book at "Boukari
Beach restaurant and apartments", but they was full booked, and was very helpful to give us phone number to "Anna".
Talking
to Anna and her daughter Iris "Villas
Karidis", we without photos etc. booked a room there, they now
have a website where You can se the get more information and see photos
from there.
We
enjoy to stay all week, Anna became my teacher for the Greek language, and
for me this week always will be in my heart, the company with Anna and
Iris became very special !
And
surprising the first night we arrived, was worth all money, they did not believed
what they saw, we had a very nice week together there, explore things in
the daytime separated.
In
the night time we went with our English friends to eat at the
Boukari Beach Tavern, eating and drinking the good food and wine, talking
about our adventure this day.
Even we celebrate Hilary and my birthday there, where Kostas surprised us with a
very nice meal - thank You.
About
Boukari, I can tell You its very pleasant to go and relax, You can hire
cars and scooters in Messongi 3 km away, and I am sure You host will help
to do this. We rented a scooter and just behind Boukari up in the
mountains You will find a lot of small villages, also You can go to the
west coast to find sandy beaches, and for us it was a must to visit
Lefkimi, the town with the canals.
