A little about Elafonissos

Elafonissos a diminutive island situated close at Peloponessos south/east about 15 minutes with carferry -2700 Dr. each way.

There are about 300 houses on the island - individualised summer residences for Greeks. On the island there is a beautiful beach Simos - with dunes - children friendly. Otherwise You can take a small boat across to the mainland and swim at Punta. There are merchant, butcher, taverns on the island. At the sea front You will find a small picturesque fishing harbour. (None bank - only in Neapolis on the mainland). There is good capabilities for excursions at the mainland among other things to Monemvassia, or take a ferry from mainland - Neapolis - to the island Kithera. You can find "Rooms to let" and hotel room easy in may/June for 7000/9000 Drc., and in July and august (high season) about 13000/15000 Drc. per day - but it is a spot, where You indeed/really can relax.

We can recommend Hotel "Pallas" it is situated 10 m from the harbour, the landlady Kaiti Kollintza, take care for everything, a very clean hotel. Nice db. rooms with refrigerator, and lovely sea view.

Tavern - "PARIS" near the church You dine very nice Greek food, - special fish-soup and lobster-spaghetti. Also You will find friendly staff, clean environment a quick service..
