Kos/Kalymnos

A little about Kos/Kalymnos

Combinations trip in september1992, where we stayed the first week on Kos.

We experiended Kos as a blowing island, so we were not very much around, it became a week with a lot of swimming.

Itself Kos city is exciting, here are many old buildings to see, partly old Greek, Turkish and venetians, plus the exceedingly old plane-tree , about which the history says that Hippokrates has planted it.

Here are many taverns, affairs, and the famous bar/disco street.

From Kos we went to Kalymnos with a small ship. The capital is Pothia, and it's full of local colour, there are a lot of affairs/market around in the city each morning/forenoon.

Spies, Iris 2 on Kos, very nice 1.rooms apartment with bath/toilet and balcony.

Kalymnos, Sunset big 1.room apartment (117 step up) with bath/toilet and own balcony (1.floor have all common terrace)
- decidedly not luxury - but nice hostess.

We recommend however to book on Elena there is svimmingpool
(the beaches are not too good) and order with sea view, then you can see the sunset across the small island Telendos, - to which there only is 5-10 minutes by boat. Some one have told me, to sit and look on the sunset, will make You fall in love !
