A little about Naxos

Combinations travel - plane to Mykonos, afterwards with ship to Naxos, where we spend the first week - then ship return to Mykonos, where we should spend the last week.
Naxos is natural conditions a quite alternate island, mountains, stony landscapes, agriculture-areas - and in particular the trip from Apollonas to Filoti is very beautiful, with them small mountain villages and among other things the "marble city" Apirathos.
Filoti which is Naxos second biggest city is worth to visit forenoon, when it's humming of life - there is a big place in the centre of the city with a very big plane-tree, and all people meet there - tourist and locals.
Naxos city with the famous marble portal, which is incredible dashing at sunrise - not so many tourists, as in the sunset. And not to forget the old part of the city - labyrinth streets built around the castle, that makes it exciting to walk around in.
There are many taverns at the big sea front, where there are many people, but try to find the small square a little bit more up in/inside the city.
The city-beach in Naxos is very children friendly, and there are many beaches south of the city.
Pirgaki beach with sand dunes and not overcrowded is situated about 15 km south of Naxos city.

Apollo Rejser, Hotel Panormos, simple hotel with bath/toilet, very narrow balcony with 1,5 m to the neighbour hotel - we can decidedly recommend not to stay here !
Be attentive on, that in the summer months, it can blow very strongly - the Meltemi-wind.
