A little about Samos
Samos, Pythagorion
14 days first in June month, was a lovely experience - the island was in
fullbloom and the weather was for both excursions and
swimming. Samos is a
reasonable large island, we can recommend to rent a car for a couple
of days.
There are many
excursions possibilities, among other things, drive from Pythagorion -
Samos - Kokkari - Manolates (here
You will find a lovely forest with a very small "river" - the spot is named the Nightingale Valley) -
return to the main road and afterwards - Karlovasi - across the island via Pirgos - Chora.
In Chora there is a nice tavern just opposite
the military barracks.
With starting point from Pythagorion
there are many small villages and mountain villages you easy can drive to on a moped, here are not
many tourists.
Pythagorion has many tourists, but despite of
it, it's a lovely city to walk around in, and on the busy animated sea front, there are many
taverns, cafe etc. - a well spot to get "aftersun".
There is quite a lot of affairs in
Pythagorion - mostly souvenir shops, but in Samos city are many common affairs.
Sol Rejser (Fritids Rejser)
Kalimera, nice 1.
rooms apartment with bath/toilet and sea view (small balcony) - however a share of
traffic noise. There is about 500 m to the centre, down of an abrupt hill or via stairs. Small
supermarket close to the apartment.
Gertrud, (Fritids Rejser) is situated on the sea front, naturally will there be
noisy - BUT the position is so lovely, there we will book the next time.
